“How was Ghana?” This was a frequent question I got asked when I returned home. And my reply to that question was always the same, “I wish I was still there.” Ghana molded my heart, like the potter molded his clay. It showed me a different kind of love, lifestyle and how to be bold. I was pushed out of my comfort zone to engage with a different culture and let me tell you, it was the best push I’ve ever had. I danced, laughed, cried, prayed, served and worshiped till the sun went down. Little did I know what God was going to do. Little did I know that I was going to meet some of the most passionate, God fearing people whom I now get to call family. Little did I know that God would use me in Ghana to share my testimony and lead others to his presence through my worship. And little did I know that this place would feel like home. God never makes mistakes and I’m glad I followed his voice when he lead me to Ghana, Africa. This was my first mission trip and I’ll be quick to tell you that it won’t be my last. Ghana will forever have my heart. It isn’t goodbye, it’s I’ll see you again.
